Five hurt in ‘attacks against Muslims’ in Edinburgh
A man has been arrested after a series of violent attacks across Edinburgh left five people injured and sparked a major counter-terrorism investigation.
Four people have been taken to hospital after a bare-chested man was seen roaming the streets of Edinburgh carrying a large weapon.
As the authorities investigated the motive behind the rampage, advocacy groups in Scotland identified some of the victims as Muslims.
Officers were called to a report of an incident in the Sighthill area of the city, where two men were injured, at about 8.50pm on Friday.
