01What we collect and why
- Delivering and protecting the website. Hosting and security systems process connection information such as IP address, requested page, browser information and time of access. The purpose is to deliver pages, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure news website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Messages and enquiries. If you contact us, we process the contact details, message and attachments you provide to respond and manage the enquiry. This is based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence, steps you request before entering a contract where relevant (Article 6(1)(b)), or consent for an optional use that requires it.
- Legal obligations. Where applicable, transaction and correspondence records may be retained to meet accounting or other legal duties (Article 6(1)(c)) or to establish and defend legal claims.
- Optional analytics and advertising. These are described below. Consent is the basis for optional storage or access on your device where required. Reading this policy or continuing to browse does not itself constitute consent.
02Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and interactions, Google AdSense to provide advertising, and Google’s consent interface to present privacy choices. Depending on your choices and location, these services may use cookies or similar identifiers and receive information about your device, browser, the page visited and the connection.
- Essential functions: security, saving privacy choices and, for authorised users who sign in, WordPress authentication.
- Analytics: Google Analytics processes usage events. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. This does not mean that a connection to a provider sends no network information.
- Advertising: AdSense and its partners may process identifiers and activity for the purposes shown in the consent interface. Consult that interface for the applicable vendors and choices.
- Popular articles: WordPress Popular Posts counts article views. Its developer states that the plugin does not collect IP addresses or personally identifiable visitor data.
You can reopen the site’s Google privacy choices using the button above when that service is available in your region. You can also remove or block cookies in your browser; this may affect preferences or signed-in functions. Browser settings alone do not necessarily withdraw a consent already recorded by a provider.

03External links, media and support payments
Links to YouTube, social networks and payment services take you to independent services with their own privacy terms. If a page contains embedded third-party content, loading or playing it may connect your browser to that provider.
Our support page links to Patreon, PayPal, YouTube membership and Donorbox. Payment details are entered on those services, rather than in a NEXTA payment form. Depending on the service and your choices, we may receive a donation confirmation, amount and contact information needed to administer support.
The About page also retrieves a limited public statistics file from ai.nexta.tv. That request is made without account cookies or credentials; like other web connections, it can expose connection information to the receiving server. It does not provide access to the internal employee portal.
04Who may receive data
Access is limited to people and providers who need it for the relevant purpose: authorised NEXTA staff, hosting and technical support providers, email services, and the analytics, advertising and consent services described here. Hostinger provides website hosting. Providers’ own processing is explained in their privacy information.
We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary and lawful to protect rights and security. A message sent to the newsroom is not automatically permission to publish your identity.
05International transfers
Some providers operate outside the European Economic Area. The safeguards applicable to a transfer depend on the provider, destination and service, and can include a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Provider privacy notices explain their arrangements. Contact us if you need information about safeguards applicable to your data.
06How long we keep information
- Operational and security information: subject to the relevant logging and rotation settings; records linked to an incident may be retained while it is investigated or a legal claim remains relevant.
- Correspondence: kept while handling the enquiry and for any applicable legal, accounting or claims period afterwards. Editorial source material may require a different assessment because of journalistic obligations and source protection.
- Cookies and analytics identifiers: their lifetimes depend on the service, settings and your choices. Google Analytics retention is configurable; this notice does not assign an unverified fixed retention period to our account.
For the retention period applicable to a particular enquiry or category of your information, write to contact@nexta.tv. We assess retention against the purpose and any legal duties, rather than retaining information indefinitely simply because storage is available.
07Your rights and complaints
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Send a request to contact@nexta.tv, explaining the issue and relevant page or correspondence. Do not send passwords. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where a lawful extension is needed, we explain it within that month.
You may complain to the Polish supervisory authority, Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO) ↗, or the competent supervisory authority where you live or work. Rights are subject to applicable exceptions, including the balance between data protection and freedom of expression and information.
08Journalism, sources and corrections
This notice concerns the public English website. Requests about personal information in published journalism require an assessment of the applicable law, public interest and source confidentiality; publication is not automatically removed on request.
For factual corrections, a right of reply, source protection and responsible use of images, see our Editorial Policy. This public-site notice does not replace employee-portal information or a third-party platform’s own privacy terms.
09Changes to this notice
This edition replaces the previous general template. We update the notice when the site’s services or relevant practices change and show the revision date here. Contact us if you need clarification about a previous version or a particular use of your information.
