Thousands evacuate Chinese city as earthquake causes houses to collapse
Two dead, one missing as Guangxi quake topples buildings and forces mass evacuations
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake has struck Liuzhou in southern China’s Guangxi region, causing more than a dozen buildings to collapse, killing at least two people.
Four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital, while more than 7,000 residents were evacuated from Liuzhou city.
Guangxi's regional earthquake relief headquarters launched a Level-III emergency response at 2 am.
