Iran’s Khamenei Says No Going Back for Middle East Rocked by War
Peace deal negotiations between the Trump administration and Iran are on shaky ground Tuesday after the Islamic Republic‘s supreme leader warned U.S. bases in the Middle East are no longer safe.
Khamenei called on Islamic states to promote friendship and cooperation to advance the Muslim world and resolve its problems.
Iran’s supreme leader took over in March after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in US-Israel air strikes.
The message also urged Muslim unity, support for Palestine, and opposition to what Tehran calls “global arrogance.” The remarks come amid heightened tensions following recent U.S.–Israeli strikes and fears that the fragile regional ceasefire could collapse, potentially triggering another phase of confrontation across the Middle East.
