Funeral held for two Lebanese paramedics killed in Israeli attack
Social media video and photos geolocated to locations in the region show ash-coated trees, blazes raging in fire-blackened buildings and dark smoke-filled skies.
A photograph of the bombed cars shared by Lebanon’s National News Agency following the attacks in the Jiyeh area showed the vehicles severely damaged, their exteriors charred and torn apart.
Last Saturday an Israeli air strike, at lunchtime and without warning, destroyed a building where a family displaced by the war were sheltering in a town in southern Lebanon called Saksakiyeh.
Hezbollah, which on Wednesday claimed several attacks on Israeli troops who have invaded southern Lebanon, is strongly opposed to the direct talks.
