Chinese medical team departs on Tuesday for DR Congo to aid battle against Ebola: GT learns from NHC
The United Nations' World Health Organization significantly scaled back on Tuesday the number of suspected Ebola cases in central Africa, lowering it to 116 from more than 900, with 330 total cases confirmed.
Created in the aftermath of the 2014-2016 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the Alliance for International Medical Action (Alima) designed them to allow medical staff to treat patients from outside, with the use of attached tunnel-like gloves.
The government issued a fresh advisory on Tuesday amid a global scare on the Ebola virus, urging those who have travelled from or transitted through affected country to “isolate” themselves.
