US Strikes Iran In 'Self-Defence', Markets Feel The Heat: Sensex Over 200 Points Down, Nifty Under 24k
South Korea's Kospi hit a fresh record Tuesday as trading resumed after a public holiday, with investor sentiment supported by hopes for a breakthrough in the U.S.-Iran peace talks.
Korean stocks traded higher over the 8,000-point level as investors were buoyed by progress on a Washington-Tehran peace deal despite new U.S. strikes on Iran.
The strikes came as Iran's top negotiator and its foreign minister were in Doha on Monday for talks with Qatar's prime minister on a potential deal with the U.S. to end the three-month-old war.
Sensex declined 150 points to 76,339.29, while Nifty fell 45 points (0.19 percent) to 23,986.40.
