Under-construction building collapses in Philippines, trapping workers

Rescuers race to find missing workers after nine-storey building caves in

Around 26 individuals were rescued after a building under construction collapsed at Teodoro Street, Barangay Balibago in Angeles City, Pampanga on 24 May 2026.

Government and volunteer teams are currently conducting search and rescue operations at the site where adjacent establishments were also affected, including the former Lorietas Building and Norma's Money Changer.

The building collapsed before dawn during a thunderstorm in Angeles City in Pampanga province, north of Manila.
