Trump: ‘Mojtaba Khamenei very seriously wounded, but not dead’

It’s been almost six months since the U.S. killed Iran’s former supreme leader Ali Khamenei in the brutal salvo of American and Israeli strikes that heralded the launch of Operation Epic Fury back in February.

Trump's remarks add to the uncertainty but do not independently confirm Khamenei's status.

Trump’s remarks come amid months of uncertainty over Mojtaba’s whereabouts and condition, with the Iranian leader largely absent from public view since taking office during the war with the US and Israel.

Khamenei has not appeared publicly since his appointment in March and was absent from his father's funeral in July.
