Possible measures include Hungary’s ability to suspend funding midway through 2025 and a review of the four-year support package, when they will assess whether Ukraine needs the money and whether it has met the requirements for EU aid.
A senior Hungarian official, when asked if that would be enough for Orban to override his veto, said: “It is not clear yet, but most likely yes.”
