Tehran steps up attacks as US launches fresh strikes inside Iran

On Tuesday, July 21, for the 10th consecutive night, US airstrikes continued against several sites along Iran's southern coast, while Tehran kept up its retaliation by targeting American bases in the region.

The 10 consecutive nights of U.S. airstrikes haven’t compelled Tehran to loosen its grip on the strait, through which about a fifth of all crude oil and natural gas traded once passed in peacetime.

Iranian MPs called for capturing US soldiers and launching ground attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, as discussions grew over a possible ground operation by either side and US strikes entered their 10th consecutive day.

Warning sirens were reported across Bahrain and Qatar as tensions in the Middle East escalated, with unverified reports of explosions near key U.S. military facilities.
