SpaceX Delays Starship Launch After Uncovering Problems
SpaceX experienced several mishaps with the V2 Starship prototype last year.
The rocket is scheduled to lift off from a new launchpad at SpaceX’s Starbase facility on the southern tip of Texas during a launch window that opens at 6:30 p.m. ET.
It’s a crucial launch for the company — and not just because it’s the first real test of the upgraded Starship V3 hardware; it also comes at a pivotal moment for SpaceX financially.
But issues cropped up with the brand-new pad at Starbase near the Mexican border, and the company ran out of time.
