Russia attacks Ukraine with two ballistic missiles and 122 drones overnight: air defence downs 111 UAVs

These increasingly frequent hybrid operations reveal the intensification of Russian drone and missile production.

The strikes between late Saturday and early Sunday were among the heaviest on Kyiv since Russia invaded in February 2022, leaving four people dead and multiple buildings destroyed across the capital.

Rescue teams are still working to stabilise buildings in Kyiv after massive Russian strikes over the weekend.

The strikes ‌follow one of the heaviest Russian bombardments of Kyiv since the start of the four-year war, after Moscow vowed on Saturday to retaliate for what it described as a deliberate drone strike on a student dorm in the Russian-controlled Luhansk region.
