Eurostar trains travelling under the English Channel have been suspended due to heavy rains. As a result of the raging elements, the tunnels were flooded.
Eurostar has cancelled more than 10 high-speed trains between London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. Rail services between the UK and mainland Europe have been suspended. Travellers are being asked to seek alternative routes.
Floods also hit Germany on New Year’s Eve.
