PM Modi greets Donald Trump, people of US on 250th anniversary of independence

Leaders from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to India's PM Narendra Modi sent their well-wishes.

The reception drew in plenty of top-tier names – Cabinet ministers, provincial governors, lawmakers, members of the Judiciary, diplomats and business leaders were all in attendance, including Buenos Aires City Mayor Jorge Macri, Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno, new Cabinet Chief Diego Santilli and Lower House Speaker Martín Menem, among other senior government figures.

Putin recalled how Russia had extended its unequivocal support to the North American colonists in their struggle for freedom from British rule.

The Royal family marked the US 250th anniversary with a special message on Saturday, 4 July.
