PCOS, a condition impacting millions of women worldwide, gets a new name
Novo pushes new obesity care approach
Around 1 in 5 young Indian women are affected by what was earlier called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The name change was published in the Lancet and announced at the European Congress of Endocrinology in Prague on Tuesday, after 14 years of collaboration between international societies and patient groups across six continents.
PCOS renamed to PMOS for better symptom representation.
