North Korea tests mix of enhanced ballistic, cruise missiles and artillery rockets
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published the report a day after South Korea's military detected the launch of multiple close-range ballistic missiles (CRBMs) and artillery rockets toward the Yellow Sea from the Jongju area of North Phyongan Province.
A brief dispatch from South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff gave no further details.
The diplomatically isolated North has also repeatedly shunned efforts by the South Korean government to improve relations, calling Seoul its most “hostile” adversary.
The short-range missiles have an estimate reach of approximately 185 miles.
