Netanyahu to meet Trump at White House Tuesday as Iran tensions continue to escalate
President Trump meets key cabinet officials to weigh a major military escalation against Iran after ceasefire breakdown.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Trump in Washington next week as the widening U.S.-Israeli war with Iran fuels growing concerns about the conflict’s endgame.
The visit comes as Trump considers resuming major combat operations against Iran following Operation Epic Fury and amid continued concerns over Tehran's nuclear ambitions and attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The meeting comes as Mr. Trump faces a potential inflection point in his approach to Iran, after the collapse of a fragile cease-fire and a memorandum of understanding that was intended to bring the United States and Iran back to the negotiating table for a longer-term denuclearization deal.
