Mushroom killer Erin Patterson appeals over ‘miscarriage of justice’
Patterson was found guilty last year of murdering her husband's parents and an elderly aunt in 2023 by serving them a beef Wellington lunch laced with lethal death cap mushrooms.
The 51-year-old was sentenced in September last year to life in prison and must serve at least 33 years behind bars before she can apply for release on parole.
But prosecutors have also filed an appeal calling for a harsher sentence.
A year after her blockbuster trial, Australia's notorious mushroom murderer is facing court again, in a bid to overturn her conviction.
