Man arraigned on hate crime charges after confrontation with ‘Today’ show host

The intruder reportedly asked for host Al Roker first

Show on Thursday morning and hurled racist slurs at host Craig Melvin, after initially wanting to target co-host Al Roker, has been identified.

“Today” show co-host Craig Melvin took a moment on air to address a security breach incident where a man managed to slip past tight security at New York's 30 Rockefeller Center and approached him.

The security guard who reportedly failed to keep the TODAY show intruder out of the studio has been fired.
