French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Ukraine has been postponed. The French leader was scheduled to visit Kyiv on 13-14 February.
The Challenges publication reports Macron’s visit was postponed for security reasons, prompting many questions from French and Ukrainian diplomats.
The French president was due to visit Odesa and then travel to Kyiv. During his visit, he was expected to announce the creation of a 200 million euro fund to finance civilian projects through donations.
Macron was also scheduled to announce that the French Development Agency would act as an aid coordinator to Ukraine.
The French-Ukrainian business association Medef International has also canceled its visit to the country.
