Israel says it killed Hezbollah militants in south Lebanon days after interim peace deal
Mixed with the skepticism is deep concern that the deal could lead to a violent response from Hezbollah that could throw the country back into civil war.
Israel has resumed air strikes on southern Lebanon, only days after signing a US-brokered agreement meant to end its war with the country.
Although the framework agreement mentions a Israeli "redeployment" from Lebanon,Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately said soldiers will remain in a self-declared "security zone" stretching 10 kilometres from the border, "as long as Hezbollah has not disarmed".
Chief of Staff Zamir addressed the ceasefire agreement signed with Beirut for the first time and sent a warning to Tehran and Hezbollah.
