Iran claims drone attack on US facilities at Kuwait air base
The war — which in its early days President Donald Trump said would last four to five weeks, although he warned it could take longer — has caused the price of fuel to spike and roiled the global economy.
But the Iran war has undercut this arrangement for both Washington and Kuwait City.
Iran's army also claimed Thursday to have attacked U.S. facilities at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, targeting power generators, navigation systems and support buildings.
There were no immediate reports of any attacks from the Kuwaiti authorities or from U.S. Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East.
