India Condemns Attack On Commercial Vessel Off Oman Coast; 21 Indians Rescued, 3 Missing

Cargo ship guards repel gunmen in a small boat

Two dozen Indian sailors aboard an oil tanker struck by a U.S. missile off the coast of Oman on Monday sent frantic SOS messages for more than two hours before they were rescued.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency later reported an incident 20 nautical miles northeast of Sohar in Oman.

The audio recording, which surfaced after the incident, captures a crew member urgently seeking help as flames spread across the ship.
