Hamas 'systematically' used sexual violence in 7 October attacks, report finds
The independent Israeli investigative commission reviewed more than 10 000 photographs and video segments.
In one of the more shocking chapters, the report described cases where victims were abused in front of relatives, or where the perpetrators broadcast images or footage of atrocities to family members of a victim in real time via social media.
The 300-page report is based on testimony from over 430 survivors, witnesses, and medical workers who treated victims, and over 1,800 hours worth of video and photographic evidence, much of which was shot by the Hamas terrorists who recorded their crimes.
This comes as the Knesset passed a law establishing a special military tribunal to try Palestinian militants accused of taking part in the October 7 attacks, under which the death penalty could be handed down.
