Graham’s Sister Appointed to US Senate Days After His Death

Henry McMaster, a close Trump ally, appointed Nordone Monday afternoon, nearly 48 hours after her brother and longtime lawmaker suddenly died from an aortic dissection.

Lindsay Graham's sudden death has sent South Carolina Republicans searching to find a replacement.

Graham, who died on Saturday at age 71, served as U.S. Senator for South Carolina for 23 years.

Darline Graham Nordone shared a close bond with her brother, Senator Lindsey Graham, after he stepped in to raise her following the death of their parents.
