George Santos faces investigation over Kalshi betting

Former Republican Representative George Santos issued a statement denying insider trading allegations after reports that a prediction market flagged his activity to federal authorities.

Whether he would be there or not was a hot topic among online bettors on the prediction market Kalshi, who were wagering on the guest list.

Kalshi, whose representatives also did not reply to a request for comment, flagged the trade to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), according to the Associated Press.
