France, Germany, UK and Italy slam Israel’s ‘E1’ West Bank settler project

The European Union (EU) is preparing an initial package of sanctions against Israel if construction proceeds in the E1 area between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Adumim, Channel 13 News reported Thursday.

The E1 plan was green-lit by Israel last year and would further separate east Jerusalem, occupied and annexed by Israel and predominantly inhabited by Palestinians, from the West Bank.
