FAA investigating Trump helicopter safety incident

Marine One carrying U.S. President Donald Trump departs from the Ellipse near the White House en route to Joint Base Andrews.

Trump is traveling to Los Angeles to attend a RNC fund raising event and then onto Las Vegas for a rally on August 5th.

President Donald Trump was aboard Marine One when it was involved in an “air-traffic safety incident” above Washington, D.C. that is being reviewed by federal aviation officials.

Air traffic controllers are believed to have mistakenly failed to halt commercial flights at Ronald Reagan national airport in northern Virginia on Tuesday afternoon when the military helicopter lifted off from the White House with the president on board.
