Ex-Thai MP shoots dead local official over money row
A former Thai MP allegedly shot dead a local official in the southern province of Nonthaburi, then dialled into a YouTube livestream to inform the host – a political pundit – of what he had done.
Chalong Reawraeng, who sat in Thailand's House of Representatives, allegedly shot an ex-police officer who was serving in the country's Nonthaburi province just outside of the capital on Monday, along with his driver.
The incident came just days after Thailand's deadliest shooting in nearly four years.
Following the incident, the shooter, former Nonthaburi MP Chalong Riewraeng, surrendered to police.
