DRC Ebola outbreak becomes deadliest in country's history
Volunteers place the coffin of a 3-year-old child, presumed to have died of Ebola virus disease, during his funeral at a cemetery in Bunia on June 11.
A total of 2,325 people have been killed by the virus since it was declared on 15 May, surpassing the death toll of the country's 2018-2020 outbreak.
More than 3,400 of the cases have been recorded in Ituri province, where the outbreak was first reported.
