Dozens of attacks in Thailand's restive south leave 3 wounded
Thai soldiers man a checkpoint in Cho Airong district after an attack on a telecommunications tower in the southern Thai province of Narathiwat on August 23, 2026, following dozens of coordinated arson and incendiary attacks across Thailand's insurgency-hit south.
No group has claimed responsibility for Saturday's attacks.
Most were reported in Narathiwat province, with others occurring in neighbouring Yala and Pattani.
Thailand's Fourth Army Region on Saturday advised the public to stay vigilant following the occurrence of multiple violent incidents in its southern border provinces.
