Mickey Mouse could soon be performing the next big TikTok dance trend as Disney looks to embrace the creator community.

Neither company shared financial details of the agreement, although it follows the collapse of a $1bn (£745m) deal between Disney and OpenAI which would have let people use its characters in AI-generated videos.

It has already introduced vertical video feeds for previews of its Pixar, Marvel and "Star Wars" productions on its Disney+ streaming service, similar to TikTok's scrolling format.
