Canada set to battle Morocco in World Cup round-of-16 matchup

Everything that has happened for Canada at this tournament already exceeds what anyone outside this program could have reasonably projected heading into June.

Canadians have expressed hurt, anger and even confusion at their once closest ally turning on them.

Jesse Marsch and his ‘Canadian heroes’ have already made history by reaching the last-16 thanks to a 1-0 victory over South Africa last Sunday.

France and Morocco might be on a collision course to meet each other in the quarter-finals with both teams favored to get through their respective round of 32 ties.
