British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called for the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine

"First we must send the billions of dollars in profits that these assets generate to Ukraine. And then, together with our G7 partners, we should come up with legal ways to confiscate those assets themselves and send them to Ukraine too," Sunak said for the Sunday Times.

“First we must send the billions of dollars in profits that these assets generate to Ukraine. And then, together with our G7 partners, we should come up with legal ways to confiscate those assets themselves and send them to Ukraine too,” Sunak said for the Sunday Times.

According to Sunak, confiscation is a way to hold the Russian state accountable. The British prime minister urged the West to be “bolder” in helping Ukraine in other ways as well, by giving it more long-range weapons, drones and ammunition, and by undermining Russia’s economic ability to wage war.
