During the massive shelling of Ukraine, one of Russia’s cruise missiles penetrated Polish airspace.

Poland’s Defense Ministry said on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that one of the cruise missiles launched by Russian long-range aviation during overnight strikes violated the country’s airspace. The targets of the attacks were cities in western Ukraine

The missile reportedly entered Polish airspace near the town of Oserdów in Lublin province and remained there for 39 seconds. Military radars tracked it throughout its flight.

“Tonight, all necessary procedures were launched to ensure the security of Polish airspace. Among other things, Polish and allied aviation was activated. The Polish army is constantly monitoring the situation on the territory of Ukraine and is in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace,” the country’s defense ministry said.

On the night of March 24, Russian occupiers launched a new attack on Ukraine. Russia launched missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers. Fourteen airplanes were put in the air for this operation.
