At least 14 infants killed in Islamabad hospital fire, local TV reports

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to conduct an immediate investigation into the fire at the state-run hospital

The fire was reportedly caused by a fault in air conditioning systems.

The fire reportedly broke out at around 7 am after an air-conditioning compressor blast inside the nursery in the gynaecology ward of the hospital, local media reported.

A fire broke out in the third floor of a maternity ward in Islamabad.
