American academic behind Jason Arday plagiarism allegations is suspended

Prof Arday resigned from his role at the University of Cambridge this month after he faced intense scrutiny over accusations of plagiarism initially made by fellow academic Nathan Cofnas.

American academic Nathan Cofnas has been suspended by Ghent University in Belgium while the institution conducts a preliminary disciplinary investigation into his public statements about the late Cambridge professor Jason Arday.

Nathan Cofnas, a self-defined "race realist", was among those to question Arday's work and achievements – prompting a weeks-long plagiarism row prior to his death on 14 August.
