War correspondent’s job in Ukraine is much riskier than in Gaza Strip – Bild deputy editor Ronzheimer

For the past 15 months, he has been visiting Ukraine frequently and has been on the front lines. This week he became the first German reporter to visit the front line in the Gaza Strip.

“Everything is incredibly well organized. We had to sign documents in advance. This has never happened in Ukraine at all,” the journalist said.

According to him, in Ukraine “everything is much simpler”, in some areas “you can stay for one or two weeks with Ukrainian soldiers”. In Gaza, however, the entire trip to the front lasted only 2-3 hours. The way from a border kibbutz to the front line under military guard took 5-10 minutes. In Ukraine, such a journey takes 2 hours.
