According to the agency, the White House may, among other things, tighten the standards for vetting those seeking asylum in the United States, as well as begin to deny asylum to applicants crossing third countries on their way to the States. In addition, the administration is considering extending the expedited deportation procedure to the entire U.S. territory (now it operates only at the border).
