On the territory of the so-called LNR, the occupation authorities threaten to take away newborns if the parents do not have Russian citizenship.
This is stated in a new report of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Starting May 6, the Russian authorities plan to “confiscate” newborns from mothers in hospitals in the occupied part of the Luhansk region if neither parent proves Russian citizenship, ISW writes with reference to the head of the Luhansk OVA Artyom Lysogor.
It is noted that if this information is confirmed, such actions violate Article II (d) of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.
