“We discussed Poland’s joining the G7 declaration. I am grateful for your readiness to start work on a security agreement between our countries,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after the meeting.
He called the talks with Tusk “very effective”.
“There are political conflicts in Poland because it is a democracy. But we are united on the issue of supporting #Ukraine. With Mr. President we stand firmly on the same position: Poland will do its best to ensure that Ukraine is accepted into the European Union as soon as possible,” the Polish Prime Minister said.
Tusk stressed that this declaration was intended to mobilize democratic countries in support of Ukraine. He also said that Poland and Ukraine would set up arms production facilities on the territory of both countries.
