PM Modi concludes G7 meetings in Evian, heads to Paris for final leg
Evian: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to restore trade and expand economic ties during a meeting on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval were also present in the meeting.
The two leaders have spoken on phone several times since Modi’s maiden visit to Ukraine in August 2024 and a meeting on the margins of the UN General Assembly in September the same year, and this was their first face-to-face encounter after a long gap.
