According to The New York Times, representatives of the White House and the Pentagon officially warned that the US may face difficulties in supplying missiles for the Patriot complexes transferred to Ukraine.
It is reported that the cost of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems is estimated from 2 to 4 million dollars per unit.
These missile systems are successfully counteracting ballistic missiles. Since the introduction of the first Patriot battery on combat duty in Ukraine, they significantly changed the course of combat operations in the airspace.
One of the majors of the Ukrainian army stressed in his comment that thanks to foreign partners it was possible to create an effective shield over the country. He also feared that the lack of support from partners could return the country to the start of the conflict, with people forced to sit in shelters and Russian troops trying to turn cities into rubble.
