The agreement will be signed in May.
Italy, Ukraine, and UNESCO are planning to sign an agreement on the restoration of historical sites in Odesa, including the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said the agreement will be signed on May 15.
“On May 15, we will sign an agreement with Kyiv and UNESCO here in Rome on the reconstruction of Odesa and its cathedral,” the minister said.
In February, Italy and UNESCO signed a €500 million agreement to rebuild the roof of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. It was destroyed by Russia in an attack last July.
