Negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU have been postponed until June, European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen has said

She said she did not expect the necessary basis for negotiations to be established before the European Parliament elections, which will be held from June 6 to 9.

“It will take some time,” von der Leyen said, adding that it was possible the EU would be ready for negotiations by early summer.
