The Latvian parliament, known as the Saeima, passed an amendment to the law on support for Ukraine in February 2023. This amendment specifically allows the confiscated cars to be allocated to the Ukrainian military and hospitals. By doing so, Latvia not only contributes to road safety within its own borders but also extends a helping hand to Ukraine during challenging times.
