The presidents of Ukraine and Latvia have signed a bilateral security agreement. According to the agreement, Latvia will support Ukraine in cyber defense, demining, and the development of unmanned technologies for 10 years. In addition, it will facilitate Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.

“According to it, Latvia will provide Ukraine with military aid worth 0.25 percent of GDP annually. In addition, Latvia assumes a 10-year commitment to support Ukraine,” Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.

The treaty provides not only for military assistance but also for economic support and the future reconstruction of Ukraine. It includes guarantees of assistance in case of repeated aggression by Russia.

The Ukrainian president expressed his gratitude to the country, emphasizing: “This is exactly the kind of concreteness and predictability that our struggle for freedom and independence needs.”
