The Russian military moved five to seven kilometers toward Chasiv Yar, east of Avdiivka, and northwest of Maryinka.
According to the ISW, the occupiers have made a small advance southwest of Bahmut as part of positional fighting. Geolocational data indicates a recent minor advance of Russian troops north of Kleshcheyivka (7km southwest of Bakhmut).
A spokesman of the Ukrainian brigade operating in the Bakhmut area reported that Russian troops had moved five to seven kilometers closer to Chasiv Yar. In addition, the occupiers have recently started carrying out mechanized attacks in the area.

The Russian military recently advanced east of Avdiivka in the context of the continuing positional fighting. A geolocation video published on February 3 shows Russian troops recently moving along the H-20 highway east of the city.
According to a representative of the Ukrainian brigade operating in the direction of Avdiivka, it is notable that Russian forces did not advance either in the Stepnoye area (northwest of Avdiivka) or on the territory of the Avdiivka coke plant.
During the past few months, the Russian Federation has been seeking to encircle Avdiivka. On this section of the front, the superiority of Russian troops is 1 to 20. The occupiers have a significant numerical advantage, but despite this, they are suffering record losses.
