The government of Tatarstan reported a drone attack on factories in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk. The strike hit the Shahed kamikaze drone factory.
According to Inkazan, the dormitory buildings of a local college in Yelabuga were damaged and the attack was carried out by two drones.
“In Yelabuga, unfortunately, there are victims in the destroyed premises. They are provided with all the necessary assistance. All services are on high alert”, – reports the press service of the head of Tatarstan.
The drones flew a distance of more than 1,200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
The region was chosen as a target for a reason: in 2023, Russia began producing Iranian Shahed drones at a factory in Alabuga, which the occupiers are using to strike Ukraine. Last fall, the production volume amounted to almost 200 drones per month.

According to “Baza” five people were injured, but local authorities reported only two casualties.
